The Acute Abode is a to-be-built custom A frame cabin in the quaint town of Littleton, New Hampshire. Our blog will show snippets of our building process as well as content about Littleton and its surrounding areas.

Details of the build and design
We drew up the plans for the A frame ourselves. We found inspiration from several A frame kit designs, the needs of our own family and our future guests, and the specific plot of land that we purchased. At first, we planned on a simple triangle shape on a slab foundation. Then we came across the right piece of land, and our plans changed. The slight slope and distant mountain view made it such that we needed to plan for building into the side of a hillside. It made our plans for an A frame a bit more complicated, but we were committed to the vision. With some key modifications and a builder that understood our plan, the Acute Abode felt like it was becoming much more of a reality.

Hi!
I love the design of the active abode! I’m in the beginning stages of wanting to build an A-frame in a similar area and trying to grasp what the magnitude of the costs could be. Would you say the builders you work with would be able to provide you a high level estimate if you have some sort of vision and an inkling of the lot you are looking at?
